Sir

I wish to draw the attention of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi to the polluted water supply. Kindly spare a little space in your esteemed newspaper to highlight my problem. It is a sad thing that the water supply in the area is either meagre or polluted. For the last month, the water supplied by the corporation is dirty looking and gives a bad smell. It is a great hazard to health. It is feared that it may cause dangerous diseases like jaundice or cholera in this area. The residents of this locality have complained to the authorities many times. But no attention has been paid to this problem. We hope that the problem will be solved with the help of your newspaper.

Thanking you,

Yours faithfully,

Subject: Complain against polluted and irregular supply of water

Respected Sir,

Through the columns of your esteemed daily newspaper, I woul like to highlight the problem of water scarcity in this locality and polluted water supply.

For the last three weeks our locality is receiving very low quantity and irregular supply of water which is not enough for our daily basic needs like cooking and drinking. The few wells available in the area has dred up as they are not enough to meet the demand of so many people. The residents here are being compelled to buy water at exorbitant rates.

Further the water supplied is polluted and dirty. It is shocking that untreated water is supplied without thinking of the consequences of diseases like cholera, Diarrhoea and Typhoid.

Therefore, I earnestly request the concerned department and the authorities to look into the matter urgently and immediately restore regular and unterrupted daily supply of clean water since the people of this locality are facing untold hardship.

Yours sincerely,

Anjali Mukherjee
