Sub: Implementation of Inclusive education.

Sir

I write to you to express my concern over the lackadaisical approach of majority of schools across the country in implementing the prescribed teaching methodology of inclusive education.
With the advancement in teaching learning methodology, and the experience gained over the years, educationists have been devising better and more efficient methods of teaching and learning. Inclusive education is one such new method of providing learning conducive environment to students according to their abilities in the same classroom. God Almighty has created each individual differently with his peculiarities and idiosyncrasies. Each child has unique mental and physical traits. Keeping these differences in mind, the same curriculum cannot be imposed on these differently talented children. It has to be tailor-made for each different child. For example some children are prodigies, while the others are very bright; similarly others are moderately brilliant, and some are just average achievers; some are special children with special needs. Inclusive education ensures different curricula for different children in the same environment. But what is happening at schools is neither promising nor encouraging. Students are forced to study the same rigid and uniform curriculum. In spite of the wide range of subjects provided by CBSE, most of the schools are just offering traditional limited subjects. As a result the annual academic results in certain subjects are quite alarming. I appeal to the concerned Education and HR ministry to look into the matter and take prompt measures to ensure the proper and meticulous implementation of inclusive education in all schools across the country.
Yours truly
