Letter to the police commissioner complaining about the increasing number of thefts in your area

Dear Sir,

Subject: Increased cases of thefts in our locality

This is to bring to your notice that our locality has become very less protected in the recent few weeks. Random people enter and exit our colony and nobody questions their identity.

Increased cases of chain snatching has been reported in the nearby park after 4pm. Thefts and eve teasing is a common phenomenon nowadays. There needs to be increased police patrolling in the locality as our women and children are not finding it safe to move out of their houses after 5pm.

Hope this matter gains importance and is taken into consideration at the earliest.

I thank you in anticipation,

Regards

To,

The Commissioner of Police, Mumbai.

I am constrained to draw your attention to the growing menace of thieves in my locality.

The policeman is a rare sight in this crowded and growing locality. Taking advantage of the absence of the police around, some robbers are freely indulging in thefts and robberies. During this week as many as twenty thefts have taken place. No house which is locked even for a few hours during the day is safe. Burglary too is on the increase. The other day four miscreants broke into a house and relieved the inmates, at the point of the knife, of all the cash and jewellery they had.

I request you to take immediate steps to stem this tide of insecurity.

Yours faithfully
