Subject: Waterlogging in main market and risk of water borne diseases.
Sir,
Through the columns of your esteemed national newspaper, I would like to express my concern on the problem of water logging in the main market region of Vasundhara Enclave.
The main problem lies in building houses without planning. During the unsupervised construction of buildings the drains and culverts are encroached or even covered up completely. This is human greed with no civic sense.
With no big or proper outlets, even a normal rainfall results in heavy waterlogging disrupting human movement and destroying essential commodities. The other major concern is the risk of water borne diseases Malaria, Cholera, and Diarrhoea.
Therefore, it is extremely necessary for the authorities to survey the area for a long term and pragmatic solution.
Yours sincerely,
NIRMALA
