lf x+y=8 and xy=2, find the value of 2x^2+2y^2​

Answer:

x + y = 8 (eq1)

x - y = 2 (eq2)

adding both equation we get

2x = 10

x = 5

putting the value in eql we get

y=8-5

y = 3

now

=> 2x² +2y²

=> 2(5)² + 2(3)²

=> 2 x 25 + 2 × 9

=> 50 + 18

=> 68
