Life on earth today is now just evolving to form further classes, species,etc.

Life is not originating a-fresh today.

This is due to the fact that earlier when life originated on earth, the earth’s atmosphere was REDUCING, this means there was no oxygen present in free state on the planet. And from such reducing atmosphere only, that was having Ammonium, methane, hydrogen and abundant water LIFE started a-fresh.

But today earth’s atmosphere is OXIDISING, this means now all those compounds don’t exist in free state and can get converted into simple organic compound to start life on earth a-fresh.

Today, only the existing species can give rise to new ones due to theory of EVOLUTION.
