Hey friend,
We know that
Anything which have mass and occupy space is called matter.

Also, particles of light don't have mass and sound is nothing but just a vibration through a medium. That's why they can't be called as matter.

Definition of Matter stats anything which have maas and occupy space is matter.
Here Light and sound have neither maas nor it occupy space so it is not a matter.
