Light has no rest mass means when light is not traveling it has no mass ,but traveling light has mass by the theory of relativity.

btw light is the buddle packets of energy having frequency nu ,energy hnu is called photons.

light has energy due to its momentum not because of its mass

As well as being a molecule, light is likewise a wave. This permits it to convey force, and consequently energy, without having mass.

How does light have energy?

  • Indeed, photons have energy and are massless.
  • The photon energy relies upon the recurrence and consequently the frequency of the photon.
  • Einstein hypothesized that when electrons inside issue crash into photons, the previous takes the last's energy and flies out, and that the higher the wavering recurrence of the photons that strike, the more noteworthy the electron energy that will come flying out.
