Light seems to travel along straight-line paths in a transparent medium.
What happens when light enters from one transparent medium to
another? Does it still move along a straight-line path or change its
direction?

Yes it will change it's angle and move forward when it enters a refractive substance in a straight path. When it comes from a transparent medium to the transparent medium, with coinciding to he Focal length, it will be reflected in the same path. But when it came from a different path it will be reflected with an angle.
