Hi !

Refractive index = speed of light in vacuum/speed of light in the medium
= 3 × 10⁸ /2.05× 10⁸
= 1.4634 [ approx.]

Speed of light in vacuum (c) = 3 * 108
Speed of light in glycerin (s) = 2.05 * 108

Now, Absolute Refractive index (n) = c/s

So, Absolute Refractive Index of glycerin = 3 * 108 / 2.05 * 108 = 1.463
