Answer:

ur question is wrong since light cannot travel with a speed of 1.25 x 10 m/s , even in diamond it has a higher speed.

but taking into consideration that the speed given is 1.25 x 10^8 m/s .

then the refractive index is 1.2

Answer:

μ = 1.2

Explanation:

velocity of ligth in first medium (C₁) = 1.5 ×10 ⁸ ms⁻¹

velocity of ligth in second medium(C₂) = 1.25×10⁸ ms⁻¹

refractive index(μ) = C₁/C₂

=1.5×10⁸/ 1.25×10⁸

= 1.2

refractive index of thesecond medium with respect to the first medium = 1.2
