Logistic growth refers to the decrease in number of individual as the population size reaches it's carrying capacity. Carrying capacity is the number of individuals an environment can sustain on the basis of availability of resources. Exponential growth refers to the increase in the number of individuals with time.
Although the logistic growth stops at a point when increase in size of population is not supported by the carrying capacity. But both logistics and exponential growth exhibit a period of rapid growth during some part of study under consideration with increase in population size.
