Limitations of dimensional analysis:-

1. For this, we have to know the relations of the quantities with the other physical quantities. Also, if the physical quantities are more than three then the formula cannot be derived.

2. It doesn't gives any information about the dimensionless constants, that's π,1,2 etc.

3. It gives no info about the quantity whether it is vector or scalar.

We cannot use them if the expression contains exponential or trignometric values..

Also this cannot be used for dimensionless expression..
