limitations of ohm's law

Explanation:

The resistance of a material changes when the temperature changes. So when the resistance changes, the ratio of the voltage across the resistor and the current passing through it will not be a constant. We will not get the same numbers always. Non – linear elements and unilateral networks do not support ohm's law.

\large{\underline {Ohm's}}\large{\underline {Law}}

Definition :- In any electronic circuit the electric current is directly proportional to the voltage and is inversely proportional to resistance.

fomulae =  >   v \:= ir

Denoted by Ω.

Uses :-

  • To calculate power, efficiency, current ,voltage & resistance in an electric circuit.

It's Limitation :-

  • It's not applicable for the Unilateral network. Unilateral network allows the current to flow in unidirection or one direction.It consist diode, transistor etc.

  • Not applicable for non-linear elements.Non linear elements are the elements in which thier no relationship between current & voltage. eg. thysistors etc.
