The emergence of RTAs has added diversity and complexity thereby creating a web in international trade relation.

The rapid surfacing of RTAs evokes concerns for the future of free trade, and in general the welfare of the world economy in the long run. There are six dominant concerns involving the efficiency and limitations of RTAs.
