Heya!!

Thanks for asking the question!!

Here is your answer : -

# Linear velocity

=>Definition : - Linear velocity can be defined as displacement per unit time in a straight line motion.

=> SI unit is m/sec.

=> We can calculate linear velocity by : -
Linear velocity = Displacement / time

=> There are of two types : -
- Uniform linear velocity : - When the particle
has equal displacement in equal intervals
of time , is said to be moving with uniform
velocity.
- Non - uniform linear velocity : - When the
particle has unequal displacements in equal
intervals of time, then the particle is said to
be moving with non-uniform linear velocity.
=> Examples : • A car has a displacement of 10 m in 1 sec , then again next 10 m displacement in next 1 sec. Then the car is moving with uniform linear velocity.
• A bike has 100 m displacement in first 10 sec and then has displacement of 250m in next 10 sec. Then the bike is moving with non - uniform linear velocity .

Hope it helps you.
