Lines of latitude give the temperature of Earth at various places.

The latitude starts from equator and goes towards both the poles.

When you go from equator to poles you will notice decrease in temperature. Compare Africa with the north pole and south pole. Africa lies near to the equator so it has high temperature while the poles have less temperature.

All the latitudes provide us the various heat zones of Earth.

They are :
1) Torrid Zone (Equator - Tropic of Cancer and Tropic of Capricorn)
2) Temperate Zone ( Tropic of Cancer - Arctic Circle and Tropic of Capricorn - Antarctic Circle)
3) Frizid Zone ( Arctic Circle - North Pole and Antarctica Circle - South Pole)
