Ice floats on water because it has less density than water. Ice takes up more space than water, so a liter of ice weighs less than a liter water. The heavier water displaces the lighter ice, so ice floats to the top.

it means if mass is constant density in inversely proportional to density .

now ice float above water because the density of water is larger then and the term uptharust is grater then the the mass and gravity of water then ice float and ice is also made up of similar kind of substance called water but they loose his property of upthrust ..
