1) being non - biodegrable, they accumulate in the environment causing pollution in soil this lead to Ph change making soil infertile.
2) entery into food chain lead to bio - accumulation living being and lead to serious healthy issues.

Soaps and detergents are mostly used for same purposes.

But the usage of detergents instead of soaps ,is often problematic;

Because;

1)Soap is biodegradable but detergents are non-biodegradable and can harm our environment.

2) We can easily purify the aqueous solution of soap but the aqueous solution of detergents are very difficult to purify.

3) Long term physical contact with detergent water can physically damage our skin.
