1) take shorter showers. if you shave, you can also turn off the water when you do. 
2) pee in the shower. this saves a lot of water per flush(1.6 - 7 gallons, depending on the toilet)
3)when you wash dishes, turn off the water. soap up everything first, then rinse off the utensils under the water at once. then you rinse off everything else.
