What is fertile soil: Soil fertility refers to the ability of soil to sustain agricultural plant growth, i.e. to provide plant habitat and result in sustained and consistent yields of high quality

Answer: It's rich in nutrients good good for basic planting plants and veggies. second should be the texture because you don't want soil to be rock hard you want it to be soft and full of different kinds of minerals. The last characteristics is a soils colour, It's true a soil that is a good colour  should be yellowish brown shows that it has lots of iron and oil.
