First of all, what is connective tissue ?

This is a type of tissue which connect organs, give them support and also separate different organs.

The cells in connective tissue are loosely packed and are embedded in an intercellular matrix.

Matrix can be fluid type, rigid or jelly like according to their functions.

Now types of connective tissue :-

>> Supportive connective tissue

>> fluid connective tissue

>> Connective tissue proper

SUPPORTIVE CONNECTIVE TISSUE :-

These tissues provides support. Example - bone and cartilage. Bone forms a framework which supports the body. It's rigid and non-flexible tissue. Cartilage smoothens bone surface at joints to prevent damage in bone.

Bones and cartilage both are supportive connective tissue but they are different. Bone can't be folded. It's rigid. Whereas cartilage is flexible and can be folded. It's because they have different matrix.

FLUID CONNECTIVE TISSUE :-

Blood and tymph are the two types of fluid connective tissue.

Blood contains plasma (a fluid matrix) in which RBC (Erythrocytes) , WBC (leucocytes) and platelets (thrombocytes) are present. Blood helps in transportation if gases and digested food to different parts if body.

Lymph is also like blood but it doesn't contain any red blood cells (RBC) it helps in immunity.

CONNECTIVE TISSUE PROPER :-

there are further two more parts. One is loose connective tissue and the another one is dense connective tissue.

Example of loose connective tissue -

Apidose and areolar tissue.

Areolar tissue is found between skin and muscles, around nerves, blood etc. It helps to fill spaces inside organs and also supports it.

Apidose tissue store fats and act as an insulator. The cells in apidose tissue are filled with fat globules.

Example of dense connective tissue -

Tendons and ligaments.

Ligaments connect bone to bone and this tissue is very elastic.

Tendons connect muscles to bone. It's a fibrous tissue with limited strength.

Let's come to ur second question. That's what is the difference between blood and apidose.

BLOOD -

- it's a fluid connective tissue.

- fat droplets are missing here.

- helps in transporting.

APIDOSE :-

- it's soft and loose connective tissue.

- fat droplets are present.

- helps in the storage of fats.

HOPE THIS HELPS...!
