☆ Vallam Kali :~

Vallam Kali is a traditional boat race in Kerala, India. It is a form of canoe racing, and uses paddled war canoes. It is mainly conducted during the season of the harvest festival Onam in spring .

☆ Kho Kho :~

Kho Kho is a popular tag game that is native to Maharashtra. Played casually and professionally, it got the name from the sound made by players in the game. It has 9 players of a team sitting on their knees while three players avoid being tagged by the opposition.

☆ Mallakhamb :~

Mallakhamb is an ancient traditional Indian sport. Gymnasts perform postures evident in aerial yoga and other acrobatic acts on a hanging or stationary wooden pole, rope or a cane.

☆ Kabaddi :~

Kabaddi is the most popular indigenous sport in the country. Kabaddi is a contact team sport. [1] Played between two teams of seven players, the objective of the game is for a single player on offence, referred to as a "raider", to run into the opposing team's half of a court, tag out as many of their defenders as possible, and return to their own half of the court, all without being tackled by the defenders, and in a single breath. [2] Points are scored for each player tagged by the raider, while the opposing team earns a point for stopping the raider. Players are taken out of the game if they are tagged or tackled, but are brought back in for each point scored by their team from a tag or tackle.

☆ Tang Ta :~

Thang Ta is an Indian martial art native to Manipur. It consists of three components – ritualistic, demonstration and combat. The ritualistic aspect consists of tantric practices. The demonstration is a show of the art through dances while equipping a spear and sword. The final aspect is for application of the art in combat.

There shall be two major categories of events in the game. They are

(A) Phunaba (Fighting)

(B) Kanglon Chatpa (Individual event of Kata).

(Field)

The play field must be circular shape and the area of the play field arena will be of 20ft. (twenty in diameter) and thirty ft. diameter of outline. Area of the arena must be flat and devoid of hazard. Referee will draw (5) ft. feet distance from centre of arena. There will be 6(six) chairs of scorers around the outer line arena, one chair for referee, direct opposite from chief jury, two chairs for players on the edges of the outline arena opposite to each other. And one table for chief jury in opposite to the referee chair. Two chairs and one table for time keeper and programme conductor near to the left side of the chief jury.

(Time of play)

Two players should play of 7(seven) minutes in two round 1st round and 2nd round of 3(three) minutes each and include 1(one) minutes of half time/interval time during the play.

(Uniform)

Players should play with the uniforms of black shirt and trouser, Head guard, Chest guard, Anchlates for hands and legs. Grow-in-guard will be compulsory for player self.

(Weapon)

a) Phunachei (fighting stick) cane stick covered with soft leather: Length of Phunachei is 2.6ft for senior players, 2.3ft for junior players and 2.0ft for sub-junior players.

b) Chungoi (shield): It shall be of circle shaped made of thick leather of 12 to13 inches in diameter. The weapons should be approved or issued by the Thang-Ta Federation of India

3.If Phunachei (fighting stick) is falling or dropping declared by the central referee. -3 marks

Phunaba-II

1.Same rule of Phunaba-I

2.Kick upper belt to chest and head. +2 marks

3.Cut to leg when to kick by Phuachei. +2 marks

4.Every kick is allowed without jumping back.

(Faults of players)

a) Hits by the handle of weapon (Phunachei) directly.

b) Thrust by the Phunachei.

c) Over hit/kick.

d) Kicking (except in Phunaba-II).

e) Catching the Phunachei by hand.

f) Hit when the opponent is falling unbalanced.

g) Direct hit to the growin.

h) Hit with the side of Chungoi (shield).
