Answer:

in making residential building parallel circuit is used

it is used because in parallel circuit if one fuse get lost then another fuse will not lost means if one thing is not working properly then another thing will work but in series connection if the fan is not working than the light will also not work

Answer:

Dear Student!!

All the connections are done in parallel, because

1. Voltage will remains same across all the appliances.

2. The working of a one appliance should not be affected when other gets fused.

3. In parallel circuits, if one appliance switched off, all other appliances work as usual.

4. The total resistance in the circuit is less in parallel connection.

or

The following is a list of the characteristics of the parallel circuit.

1. The current in each component (branch) is the same everywhere in the circuit. This means

that wherever I try to measure the voltage, I will obtain the same reading, and this is the supply

voltage.

2. Each branch has an individual current path. I can calculate the current using Ohm's Law if I

know the voltage across the component and the resistance.

3. Kirchoff's Current Law Applies. This means that the sum of all the voltage sources is equal to

the sum of all the voltage drops or

IT = I1 + I2 + I3 + . . . + IN

4. The total resistance in the circuit is equal to inverse the sum of the inverse of the individual

resistances.

5. The sum of the power supplied by the source is equal to the sum of the power dissipated in

the components.

PT = P1 + P2 + P3 + . . . + PN
