Biogeographic classification of India implies seggregation of India according to biogeographic features. Biogeography is the study of the distribution of species (biology), organisms, and ecosystems in geographic space and through geological time. India is divided into ten biogeographic zones .These zones are Trans Himalayan ,Himalayan , Desert , Semiarid , Western ghat , Deccan plateau , Gangetic plain , North east ,Coastal Dhanoa and Islands present near the shore line.
