Majoritarianism is actually a concept or a belief owing to which the majority community of any nation is dominant enough to frame rules according to their convenience, irrespective of the wants and needs of the minority communities living in that nation.

Sri Lanka follows this policy where the Sinhala community has acquired majority and empowered over other communities in the country.

Also UK, Belgium, Yugoslavia, USA and Canada are majoritarian democracies. Representatives of these are chosen not by proportional electoral systems, but by following simple plurality voting.
