However, when you need to search across all your files and folders, you need to change the settings for Windows Search:
Click Start, and then Computer.Click Organize, and then Folder and searchoptions.Click Search, and enable Always search filesnames and contents (this might take several minutes).

● while searching for a file or a folder in Windows or on computer then its first go to the start menu.
● there you will see a search bar down below.
● enter the name of the file or folder you want to search for and then press search.

● if you are searching for a file or folder in the Windows 7 or above version then move your arrow to the right corner of the screen.
● a panel will appear in which on the top will be an option for search.
● in that search bar enter the name of the file or folder and you are ready to go.
