The chronological sequence of the genus homo begins with the Homo erectus followed by Homo sapiens neanderthalensis and finally the Homo sapiens sapiens.  The evolution took millions of years to come to the present state. In taxonomy homo means humans. It is almost 1.8million ago that evolution started in Africa and gradually passed through many phases before reaching today’s form.
