On the basis of their exhaustibility resources can be classified as :

1.Renewable resources : The natural resources have unlimited stocks on the earth .It can be used again and again and they will never end after use are called renewable resources.

Example : solar energy , wind , water etc.

2.Non renewable resources : The natural resources have a limited stocks on the earth surface . They take millions of years to form and can end by the use are called non renewable resources .

Example : fossil fuel , minerals , gases etc.
