This poem simply summarizes the excuses a child might make to explain his lack of preparation for a homework assignment that is due in a classroom. The beauty of this poem centers around the wonderful language and the imaginative ways in which a child, with incredibly picture-oriented language, can create stories more wonderful and "fun" than any truth could ever be.

Answer: Excuses given in the story "a remarkable adventure' is a giant anaconda, dozens of grizzly bears, tigers and savage trolls.

Explanation: In the first stanza the boy saw a giant anaconda started winding up his side so he ran to the downstairs with apprehension then he was greeted by a dozens of grizzly bears and he was tumultuously tussled and he saw with trepidation there were tigers after him. And then he was rescued by an eagle that descended from the skies. Then he was surrounded by a troop of savage trolls. This was the excuses made by the boy.

Hope it helps!!!
