resistance of a conductor depends on:

• the length of the wire: A long wire offers more resistance as the electrons have to come a longer distance. resistance is directly proportional to the length of the conductor.

•the area of cross section: a thick wire offers less resistance as compared to a thin wire.resistence is inversely proportional to the area of criss section of the wire.
