Given:

x= 4

To prove:

Find least and greatest value.

Solution:

\Rightarrow b^{a}\\....(i)

taking log in equation.

\Rightarrow  \ln \ b^{a}  \\\\ \Rightarrow a \times \ln b

where ln is natural log.

\ x =\ 4 \\

square the above equation and take a log.

\Rightarrow x^2 = 4^2 ....(a)\\\\\ take \log :  \log x^2 = \log 4^2   \\\\\Rightarrow 2 \log x = 2 \log 4 \\\\

After solving above equation the value of x is = \pm 4

OR

remove squares of equation a, it will give:  \pm 4

The least and greatest value is=  -4 and +4.
