The main processes involved in transformation of the topography of arid regions are erosion and deposition.

Explanation:

Arid regions are considered as the regions with lesser inches of rainfall i.e. 25 cm per year. Their landscapes are different and distinctive. Here erosion plays a major role in transforming the surface of this land. The erosion processes include 3 sub-processes namely

  • The huge volume of wasting as landslides fall, rocks, etc
  • A wind-based processor can be called as an Aeolian process
  • Water-based process or fluvial process ( due to loess, dust, and sand dunes).
