it shows how the land and the water is distributed around the earth surface.  speaking of accuracy a globe is found to be somehow more accurate than the map. though it is more easier to identify most regions in a map than in a globe. this advantage outdoes the globe. a globe shows sizes ,shapes and oceans correctly and how they are located in the globe.
