nuclear waste reacts with the soil and hence.. destroys the nutritional value ..
nuclear waste emits radiation... which induces mutation..
nuclear waste disposal needs a lot of space ....normally the waste I disposed in used up mines... which needs a lot of space

  • Improper disposal of nuclear waste imposes a high risk of environmental cotamination.

  • Nuclear wastes are highly toxic in nature.

The improper disposal of nuclear wastes poses a problem for the plant and animal life in the following ways :-

  • The radiations emitted from the nuclear wastes penetrate deep inside the animal bodies (including Human beings) where they can damage biological cells which as a result initiates cancer and even causes genetic diseases.

  • Improper disposal of nuclear wastes results in the increased mortality rate of plants, soil invertebrates and mammals.

  • In many cases, Nuclear radiations lead to the reproductive losses in plants and animals.
