AEROBIC RESPIRATION:- Respiration which takes place in the presence of 02(oxygen)
The first phase in the aerobic and Anaerobic respiration is 'glycolosis'
In this process the glucose is conveted into pyruvate (pyruvic acid). and small amount of energy(ATP) released.
then in aerobic respiration, pyruvic acid will react will O2 to form ATP.
*In the absence of O2 the pyruvic acid converted into ethonal ➡ called anaerobic respiration
2. Aerobic respiration takes place in the cells which have supply of oxygen.

Dear Student,
◆ Aerobic respiration -
- In aerobic respiration, glucose and oxygen are converted to carbon dioxide and water.
- Here complete breakdown of glucose takes place, therefore more energy (38 ATP) is released.
# Stages of Aerobic respiration -
Three stages of aerobic respiration are -
1) Glycolysis
- Glucose is broken down into 2 molecules of pyruvate.
- Site - Cytoplasm
2) Krebs cycle
- Pyruvate is converted to carbon dioxide.
- Site - Mitochondrion
3) Electron transport
- Most ATPs are synthesized here.
- Site - Mitochondrion
Hope this helps you..
