Experiment to demonstrate hydrotropism:
Plant a seed ling in soil. Keep a porous pot containing water adjacent to it. Leave the set up undisturbed for 2-3 hrs. On examining the plant, it is observed that the roots bend towards the pot containing water and not straight, showing positive hydrotropism. However, the shoot grows straight, showing negative hydrotropism.
