factors:-
a) gene flow must be stpped so that subpopulations become genetically isolated..
b)mutation plays an impotant role in speciation. changes in allele and genotypic frequencies within the populations, by natural selection.
c) genetic isolation leads to the formation of new species..

The process by which new species develop from the existing species is know as Speciation. The important factors which could lead to speciation are:

1. Geographical isolation of a population caused by various type of barriers such as mountain ranges, rivers and seas.

2. Genetic drift caused by drastic changes in frequencies of particular genes by chance alone.

3. Variations caused in individuals due to natural selection.
