A cork cell is a non living thing whose walls have wax referred to as suberin that function as a waterproof and does not let in gases. They are found in different sizes depending on the plant and in it could be air,tannins, lignin or fatty acids.
It has pore like structures arising from the cork cambium that allow the circulation of air between the plant and the surroundings
