Heya friend!!
Rajdeep here....
Oxygen in the atmosphere is found in two forms:
1. O2, which is a diatomic molecule containing 2 oxygen (O) atoms.
2. O3, which is an alloptrope of O2, containing 3 O atoms.
Now, oxygen is used by all living organisms. It is taken in (inhaled) by all animals for anabolic and catabolic processes in their body.
Carbon dioxide is exhaled by the animals which help the plant in carrying out photosynthesis. During photosynthesis, water is split to form Hydrogen ions, electrons and oxygen. This oxygen is given out in the atmosphere as molecular oxygen.
Thanks!!
Hope you have got your answer!!
