All the metals mentioned belong the same group in the periodic table and have only one valence electron in the outermost shells.

Having a usual electronic configuration of ns1.(General electronic configuration of Orbitals) Don't get confused with this point.

They're actually called as Alkali metals.

Now, they actually form Monopositive ions by donating one electron.

These alkali metals when react with water give their corresponding hydroxides which are highly basic in nature along with slow emission of hydrogen gas as in the products
