‘Live and Let Others Live’ is a wonderfully positive maxim. Our wise elders gave it to us a peaceful, meaningful, and prosperous life. If adopted by all, it has the potential to make our planet into a Paradise.
It is also one of the most appropriate directive for righteous behavior and living. It ensures complete freedom to oneself and others. This life is actually God’s plan and creation. We, the human beings don’t have any right to interfere with any one’s life – be it man, animal, or plant.
Everyone has the right to live as one pleases. If any action of anyone is objectionable to us, we should just mind our own business. The truth is all the wars, conflicts, etc. were caused by the violation of this maxim. Even the World Wars originated from the violation of this maxim.
When we follow this maxim, we allow others to live as they want; life can only be lived optimally if one is free to live and experiment without any meddling and thwarting from anyone.
By not following the maxim, man has interfered with the entire life system. He has killed millions of species of animals and plants, whose living was indispensable to maintain the beauty and purity of life. By not letting nature live, man has just polluted it irreparably.
One thing is certain, if man has to live peacefully and happily, he must follow the maxim of Live and Let Others Live’.
