- These forests are found in the warm temperate regions on the western margins of continents.
❇️ Special features:
- In these regions, summers are dry and rain falls during winter.
- The forests are not dense and contain broad - leaved evergreen trees.
- The trees are of widely spaced and are of medium height.
- Some of them have several adaptations like thick barks, small waxy leaves and long roots to withstand the dry summers. Eg: Olive, cork oak, fog, laurel, pine, for, cedar, cypress, myrtle and citrus.
