Log(2x-3) is equal to 1 find x

YogitShankar: the answer is 13/2 or e+3/2 depending upon the base
Smithkhuvio: log(2x-3)=1
Smithkhuvio: after finding the antilog on both sides
Smithkhuvio: we have,2x-3=10
Smithkhuvio: or x=13/2
YogitShankar: Arre bhai it's not mentioned whether it's the natural log Or common log
Smithkhuvio: oh but anyway log 10 =1 so we can get the answer from there

log0=1
so comparing
2x-3=0
x=3/2

YogitShankar: wrong yaar
Smithkhuvio: noob log0 is undefined
Smithkhuvio: log 10 is 1
Smithkhuvio: so answer is 13/2
Smithkhuvio: or 6.5
YogitShankar: yeah
YogitShankar: if the base is 10
Answered by YogitShankar
0
since
 log_{a}(a)  = 1 \\  log(2x - 3)  = 1 \\ 2x - 3 = 10 \: or \: 2 x - 3 = e \\
