Step-by-step explanation:
log m - log n => log [m/n]
therefore log (3x +2) - log (3x -2) = log 5
=> log [(3x + 2)/(3x - 2) ] = log 5
taking antilog on both sides
=> (3x + 2)/(3x - 2) = 5
=> 5(3x - 2) = (3x + 2)
=> 15x - 10 = 3x + 2
=> 15x - 3x = 2 + 10
=> 12x = 12
=> x = 1
