Question:-

➡ Solve the given equation and find the value of x.

Answer:-

➡ The value of x is ±3.

Solution:-

Given that,

 \sf log_{2}( {x}^{2} - 5 )  = 2

 \sf  \implies {x}^{2}  - 5 =  {2}^{2}

 \sf  \implies {x}^{2}  - 5 =4

 \sf  \implies {x}^{2}=4 + 5

 \sf  \implies {x}^{2}=9

 \sf  \implies x =  \sqrt{9}

 \sf  \implies x =  \pm 3

Hence, the value of x is ±3.

Note:-

➡ If \sf \log_{a}{b}=n then \sf a^{n}=b
