Hey friend!

Here is what you need:

What is logarithm?

Logarithm is a way of writing the inverse function of an exponent. In simple, it is the reverse way of writing exponential forms when only the expanded number and the base are known.

How are logarithms represented?

Take an example,

if aᵇ = n

then, in logarithms, it is written logₐn = b

Called out as ' log of n to the base a equals to b '

Why do we need logarithms?

Logarithms are used to show how big a number is to a given base. It can be identified as how much to the power of the base number gives the number.

It was introduced first by John Naiper and with logarithmic scales and new functions - could discover a whole new world of mathematics.

Are there some important things to be noted in logarithms?

Yes, there is a special type of logarithm known as natural log ln which holds the base number as Euler's number (2.71 approx.)

I hope you understand. And if you appreciate my way of  writing answers, please respond with a thanks.
