i. in tap root there is a main root and branching roots come out from the main root

while in fibrous root there is no main root and branching roots come out from the lower portion of stem.

ii. in simple leaves, the lamina of the leaf do not divide into a number of leaflets

while in compound leaf the lamina of the leaf divide into a several number of leaflets

iii. in parallel venation the the veins Run parallel to the midrib

while in reticulate venation they run in a network like arrangement with respect to the midrib
