About thousand of passengers each day do bookings and cancel their tickets and reservations. Now through this computer networking system the workload and pressure of Railway employees and Airlines reservation counters has come down to a great extent. Because of this it is very easy to manage the reservations and ticketing system. It also helps to access many vital things in one go. The passengers will be easily notified about their status, and so less pressure will be on ticket counters. Moreover this will help passengers to access the websites and book tickets of their need from where ever they want. And this will also eliminate the corruption in reservation systems, like agents who take huge amount of money for booking ticket. Now question comes how is this possible. Due to computrise reservations this will save the time of those people who are always busy and hence can buy tickets online. While those who are not can simply come reservation center . And since there is computerisation so there will be less crowd in the counters. And that’s what IRCTC has done, about 5.80 lakhS tickets were sold by IRCTC in march 2016.
And because of all these you will not have to rush all time to counters to buy tickets. Reservations can be easily done on smart phones also. Hence more efficient, less time consuming and more safe.
