The three methods to prevent rusting of iron are :
1. Rusting can be prevented by greasing or painting the iron object.
2. The chemical method i.e. Galvanization can be used to prevent rusting. It is a process whereby the iron object is coated with a layer of molten zinc which prevents oxygen and water to come in contact with the underneath surface.
3. the iron objects should be kept away from water and moist places. The surface of the objects should be kept dry.
